Sweet and Savoury Toast

This sweet and savoury toast makes for a super satisfying and balanced meal. It can be done on any  gluten free bread or even rice crackers. Quick and easy to whip up and bursting with flavor, fiber and  nutrients. Great for breakfast but can be had for any meal of the day or as a snack! 

Ingredients:

Toast 1

  • Slice of GF buckwheat bread (or any other gluten free bread of choice)
  • 1 tbsp tahini 
  • ¼ sliced banana  
  • 1 tsp cacao nibs 
  • ¼ cinnamon 
  • 2 dates, sliced 

Toast 2

  • Gluten free slice of toast  
  • ½ avocado 
  • 1 tbsp hummus 
  • 1 tsp lemon juice 
  • Salt and cracked pepper, to taste 
  • ¼ coriander 
  • 1 tsp hemp seeds

Method:

  1. Cook bread in a toaster. 
  2. Mix avocado and hummus together in a bowl smashing with a fork until smooth. Add salt, pepper and  lemon juice to taste.  
  3. Spread the avocado mix evenly on a piece of toast and sprinkle on coriander and hemp seeds.  4. On the second toast add tahini spreading evenly over the toast. Add banana, cacao nibs, dates and  cinnamon.  
  4. Enjoy!
